The Elk Grove Quilt Guild was founded in 1998. The purpose of the Guild is to preserve the heritage of quilting, promote cooperation and exchange of ideas among those persons interested or engaged in quilting, further the education and skill levels of the members, share the spirit of friendship, and contribute to the welfare of the community.

The guild participates in the community with quilts made by members and donated to various recipients. Yearly, we distribute over 100 quilts, over 400 Christmas Stockings, and over 175 pillowcases. We produced bigger quilts which were distributed to St. John's Homeless Shelter, Ronald McDonald House, Windsor Rehab, Cases for Care, Sacramento Crisis Nursery, Shriners Hospital for Children, and to the County of Sacramento for young people who are discharged from the Foster Care System. A thank you to all members that participated.

The guild meets every third Thursday. Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. Various speakers are brought in to lecture and teach throughout the year. See Meetings for this month's' topic and workshop. Guests are welcome, and when meetings include speakers or lectures, a small fee of $3 is asked of visiting guests. Click here for information on Membership. You can see what we are up to on Facebook.
